With some confidence, I can say that I enjoy being part of the engineering industry more than almost any other recruiter. (Probably...)

I've always made it my business to understand as much detail as possible, perhaps more than I should, but that's what happens when your profession becomes your greatest interest.

Working with some of the most highly qualified, capable and genuinely brilliant engineers and managers is a real privilege. The breadth of knowledge, experience and technical expertise within engineering is extraordinary, and I've always enjoyed learning from the people I work with as much as I enjoy helping them.

That passion ultimately led me to establish Verso Recruitment in 2022, building a business across permanent recruitment, contract recruitment and executive search.

I also established our Executive Search arm, where I now spend much of my time working on retained searches. I particularly enjoy the depth involved: getting under the skin of a business, understanding its ambitions, culture and challenges, and identifying the people who can genuinely make a difference.

Away from work, family is everything to me. I enjoy going to the gym and, despite my best efforts not to run the line at every one of my son's football matches, I somehow seem to end up doing it most weeks anyway. I'm clearly not very good at saying no.
