This notice sets out how Verso Recruitment Group collects, uses, shares and protects personal data, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. It covers personal data relating to candidates, clients, employees, suppliers and contractors, including everything submitted through this website. Last updated 16 August 2026.
Who we are
Verso Recruitment Group Limited is a recruitment agency registered in England, company number 14558341, VAT registration number 431875780. Our registered office is Hart House Business Centre, Kimpton Rd, Luton, LU2 0LA. For the purposes of data protection law, we act primarily as a data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
What personal data we collect
On this website, we only collect what you give us directly, through one of the forms below. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party ad networks to build profiles of visitors.

Name, email, company (optional), message
Executive search enquiry form, /executive-search
Name, email, company, phone (optional), role you're hiring, message
Speculative CV form, /jobs
Name, email, phone (optional), message (optional), CV file
We also collect anonymous, cookieless traffic data automatically when you visit any page: see “Analytics” below.
Beyond the website, over the course of a candidate or client relationship we may also collect: right to work documentation; salary and benefit expectations; interview notes and feedback; references and referee contact details; special category personal data such as health or criminal record information, only with your explicit consent and only where a role legally requires it; and bank details and payroll information, if you're placed with us on PAYE.
How we collect it
Alongside the forms on this website, we collect personal data from:
- Job applications and CV submissions.
- Interviews and conversations.
- Referrals and recommendations.
- Publicly available professional networks, such as LinkedIn, where you've made your information available.
- Client feedback and assessments.
Why we collect it
We process personal data only for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes:
- To match you with suitable job opportunities.
- To contact you about roles and applications.
- To carry out pre-employment checks.
- To share your profile with a prospective employer, only with your explicit consent and after telling you which employer will receive it.
- To meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- To manage PAYE, contracts and onboarding if you're placed in a role.
Our lawful basis for processing
We only process personal data where we have a valid legal basis to do so:
Consent
For example, when you get in touch with us as a candidate through this website, or when we share your profile with a prospective employer. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Performance of a contract
Once you're placed with us as a candidate, or engaged with us as a client under an active assignment.
Legal obligation
Right to work checks, tax and payroll compliance, and other regulatory requirements.
Legitimate interest
For example, responding to a business enquiry submitted through this website, where we've assessed that doing so doesn't override your own rights and interests.
Who we share it with
We may share your data with:
- Clients, for specific job opportunities.
- Background checking providers, details available on request.
- Payroll and umbrella companies.
For our internal team and this website, we work with a small number of trusted IT providers, none of whom are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:
JobAdder: our recruitment CRM
Candidate and client details are held in JobAdder, the applicant tracking and CRM system our consultants work from day to day.
Resend: transactional email
Form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, including your CV as an email attachment if you use the speculative CV form. Resend processes this content in transit; it isn't used for marketing.
Vercel: hosting
This website is hosted on Vercel.
We never sell your data.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, including to JobAdder (headquartered in Australia) and Resend and Vercel (both US-based), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place: Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO and/or the European Commission, and additional technical and organisational measures where necessary.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. It's cookieless: it doesn't set cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally. It tells us things like which pages are visited, roughly how much traffic they get, and aggregate counts of specific interactions, for example a contact form being submitted, the “Hire talent” or “See live jobs” buttons being clicked, or which job listing or salary survey page was viewed. None of this includes the content of what you submit, your name, or your email address.
Data retention
We only keep personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes we collected it for, including to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Our typical retention periods are:
- Two years after our last meaningful contact, if no placement was made, subject to periodic review.
- Six years after placement, for financial or compliance records, as required by law.
You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Correct inaccuracies.
- Request erasure (“the right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, though we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly.
