Qualitrol: One Search, Two Operations Leaders

Qualitrol came to Verso needing a world-class Site Director, its most senior onsite leader, for a $5bn global engineering business. What started as a single-role search ended with two operations leaders hired instead of one.

The brief

The role called for a proven executive with a strong global track record in driving revenue growth, operational excellence and strategic leadership on an international scale.

The shortlist

Verso ran a structured process: working directly with Qualitrol's leadership to understand the strategic vision, targeting senior candidates with a genuine track record in global operations, and assessing each one's leadership qualities against the business's goals. Eight candidates made the shortlist.

The outcome

Verso reached accepted-offer stage in 29 business days. The shortlist was strong enough that Qualitrol extended offers to two candidates instead of one.
